Calpeda submersible pumps are designed for efficient and reliable operation while fully submerged, making them ideal for a wide range of domestic, commercial, and industrial applications. Featuring a sealed motor integrated within the pump body, they are protected against water ingress and benefit from continuous cooling during operation, improving performance and longevity.
Many models incorporate robust impeller designs capable of handling clean or lightly contaminated water, along with double mechanical seals and oil chambers for added protection and durability. Built from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel or cast iron, they are commonly used for drainage, wastewater handling, groundwater extraction, and flood control, offering a dependable, low-noise, and low-maintenance solution for submerged pumping requirements.

Calpeda Submersible Pump Ranges
The MPS series consists of close-coupled, multi-stage submersible pumps featuring stainless steel external jackets and Noryl or polycarbonate impellers. Designed for domestic, civil, and light industrial applications such as water supply, irrigation, and rainwater harvesting, they deliver flows up to around 7.2 m³/h and heads up to 78.5 m. Protected by a double shaft seal with oil chamber and automatic motor cooling via the pumped fluid, these pumps offer reliability even when only partially submerged.
The MXS series elevates performance by using full stainless steel (chrome-nickel) for both the hydraulic stages and external casing. Flow rates reach up to 11 m³/h and heads up to 105m perfect for demanding domestic, civil, and industrial water supply applications, garden irrigation, and tank or reservoir extraction. With integrated capacitor (on certain models), motor cooling by fluid, double shaft seal, and suction strainer to prevent debris ingress, MXS sets a high standard for efficiency and longevity.
Calpeda’s SD and SDX series offer compact yet powerful submersible borehole pumps suitable for wells of 4″, 6″, and 8″ diameter. The SD range features Noryl or stainless-steel stages for flow up to 21 m³/h and heads up to 305 m. For even higher performance, the SDX series delivers flows up to 120 m³/h and heads up to 700 m, with stages constructed in stainless steel grades AISI 304 or 316. Ideal for municipal, industrial, firefighting, irrigation, and civil engineering applications.
The SDS line is Calpeda’s heavy-duty submersible borehole pump series, designed for large-diameter wells (6″, 8″, 10″). With flows up to 350 m³/h and heads up to 470 m, these pumps use mixed-flow impellers made from cast iron or bronze, offering high efficiency under demanding conditions. SDS models accommodate flange or screw connections as required and include built-in non-return valves well-suited for industrial water supply, irrigation systems, firefighting, and large-scale civil use.
